Sant’Antimo

Sant’Antimo rises in the solitary Starcia Valley; it is one of the most beautiful monuments of Romanesque style (probably Cistercian) with evident references to Lombard models. The abbey is not particularly frescoed even if in the crypt there is a valuable Jesus coming out of the tomb between two angels in the crypt.
You can also find the wooden Crucifix above the high altar which is really beautiful.
The acoustic of the Abbey is truly exceptional.
All Masses are celebrated with Gregorian chants.
